Michael D. Reilly, President

Division
Mike Reilly is a proven
marketing, sales and general manager with over 25 years experience
in multiple industries and channels of distribution.
His
background includes startups, rapid growth transitions and
turnarounds, as well as success in major corporate environments.
His ability to increase sales and profits in different industries is
well established.
Mike currently has his
own consulting business and is affiliated with The SearchAmerica
Group as President of the Mergers & Acquisitions Division. From
2003 through the present he has successfully completed assignments
in business planning, eCommerce, sales reorganization, mergers and
acquisitions, marketing communications, product development, CRM and
strategic planning for companies large and small. Some of his past
clients include Rubbermaid, Sealy, Simple Green, Facility Experts
and PowerPulse Technologies.
From 2002 to 2003 Mike
was Vice President, Consumer Marketing for Helen of Troy. He
reported to the President & CEO and
had P&L responsibility for
$255,000,000 retail division. He directed all new product
development and introduction, brand management, business planning/
forecasting, budgeting, pricing, licensing, market/marketing
research, advertising, public relations, media planning, packaging,
sales promotion, merchandising, trade shows, branded sales to major
retailers, customer service, direct marketing and sales training on
a worldwide basis. His operating budget exceeded $10,000,000.
From
1997 to 2002 Mike was Executive Vice President of The Soltis Group,
a consumer and commercial consulting business specializing in sales
and general management, planning and organization, logistics,
outsourcing, import/export, distribution channel expansion,
marketing, product development, strategic planning, M&A, E-commerce,
retail strategies, ERP, CRM and marketing communications. Clients
included Alside, Texas Feathers, Allied International, Simple Green,
Nanofilm, Contico International and others.
From 1992 to 1997 Mike
was Senior Vice President of Marketing and New Product Development
for Universal Electronics, the company that invented the
preprogrammed universal remote control under the One for All brand.
Mike was instrumental in the growth of this startup to over
$120,000,000 in three years.
The company manufactures products for the retail, OEM, Cable TV,
satellite TV and private label markets. Distribution was throughout
the
United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, South America and Australia in
the discount, drug, food, hardware, home center, office products,
warehouse club and consumer electronics retailers as well as by
major distributors.
From 1988 to 1992 Mike was Vice President, Sales and Marketing for
Selfix Inc. He had
profit and loss responsibility for a $30,000,000 division. He
directed all new product development/introduction, business
planning/ forecasting, budgeting, pricing, licensing,
market/marketing research, advertising, public relations, media
planning, packaging, sales promotion, merchandising, trade shows,
branded sales to major retailers, customer service, direct marketing
and sales training on a worldwide basis. While at this company,
Mike tripled sales in less than 4 years.
From 1983 to 1988 Mike
held various positions with the Genie Division of North American
Philips, the last being Vice President and General Manager. The
company was an Industry leading manufacturer of garage door openers,
wet/dry vacuums and small electrical appliances. While at Genie,
Mike increased sales from $60,000,000 to over $120,000,000. He
accomplished this great growth through new product development, an
acquisition and expanded distribution.
From 1979 to 1983 Mike
held three progressively more responsible positions at General
Electric’s Lighting business Group. Mike coordinated the
introduction of private label and generic products to reduce retail
price pressure on branded goods. He reversed a split distribution
trend, driving incremental sales of $20,000,000. He also introduced
the MISER lighting line generating $56,000,000 in new sales the year
of introduction.
Mike is a native of New
York City. He holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Columbia
University and a BA in History from Holy Cross College. He and his
spouse, Kathy have three children and reside in Hudson, Ohio.
